Meet the Team
Ethan
Founder/Owner“I just work here…”
One half of the team that works day and night (mostly night) to create the products being sold. Mostly in charge of math and micas, creating amazing smelling concoctions, researching biodegradable/eco-friendly materials, keeping the hoard of isopods happy, and creating/maintaining the website (hello).
Their background is in never finding the right products for their skin, figure skating, exotic pets, robotics and website building (I won an award for it in middle school), and tracking anything they can in a spread sheet, making one half of a perfect duo for this project.
Daniel
Founder/OwnerStinky guy.
The other half of the team, mostly morning shift since Ethan doesn’t wake up until 2 pm. Duties are typically cutting and weighing soap, judging all the “masculine” scents that Ethan legitimately cannot smell, coming up with genius ideas at 3 am, procuring food for the frogs, and talking to people since it freaks Ethan out.
His background is in being able to actually smell “musk”, lifting heavy things, woodworking, color theory, and making small talk without having a panic attack, making him the perfect other half.
Leif
Oldest SiblingHe is a Powder Blue Dart frog (Dendrobates tinctorius) and he has the biggest personality of the frogs. He is very exploratory (which is how he got his name), angry, and perpetually not amused. He loves to hop around his enclosure and spent hours exploring every inch when we brought him home. However, he is not interested in his human caretakers in the slightest, unlike the White’s Tree frogs who at least are happy when we bring them food. He will also square up to you if he thinks you’re invading his home.
Pebble
Amazing InspoA juvenile, Blue Eyed, Honey morph White’s Tree frog. We aren’t sure if any of our frogs are male or female until they are fully grown and start calling. We usually refer to them as she or he based on vibes until we know for certain. Pebble hasn’t started calling yet, but he still has a little more growing to do before we are 100% certain whether or not he ever will.
He is very curious, outgoing, and spunky. He wakes up immediately when food is put in his tank and loves to jump all around the tank (and even outside of the tank if he thinks you have food). He is a striking inspiration for all our creative and conservation endeavors.
Puddin’
Pebble's HousemateAnother example of a Blue Eyed, Puddin was very dark in coloration when we got her, pretty close to chocolate pudding. This was because she is much more shy than the other White’s Tree frogs we have and they can change their color depending on their mood, as well as heating or lighting. She is also a much heavier sleeper than the other frogs, usually not waking up immediately for a feeding, but waiting for all the humans to leave the room, or even until night time when they naturally are awake.
She has since gotten comfortable enough to explore her space and interact with Pebble, even sleeping together in a pile, but she is still the shyest guy we have. She has been showing off that beautiful light coloration much more often now, but we still think she is a little darker than Pebble.
Pudge
CutieHe’s just a baby! He is a striking frog with a beautiful snowflake pattern and brown stripes along his nose (which will probably fade as he grows up). Right now, he is less than a year old and much smaller than Pebble and Puddin, putting him at risk of being eaten by them. For this reason, he is in a tank more appropriate for his size with a roommate also similarly sized.
Unfortunately, he came to us in active heat stroke from a not-so-great previous home. He was very tired, thin, and sad. We carefully hand fed him, made sure to get him the moisture he needed, and worked for him to be confident and curious about his new home. He is now in amazing condition and growing wonderfully!
Pothole
Pudge's Best FriendA gorgeous example of a snow morph White’s Tree frog, he is still a baby and therefore lives with Pudge in the small frog tank. Pictured here literally crawling over Pudge to get to the fresh food, he truly lives up to the description of White’s Tree Frogs from Froggie.Info:
“They are heavy-bodied frogs, one of only a few species that can become clinically obese. They are very voracious eaters and will eat anything they can fit into their mouths”
While it is widely understood that reptiles and amphibians won't communicate that there is food or that they are are friends with their tank mate, we have personally seen him wake up Pudge after food has been given before eating himself.

Male StrawberryAt least one of our pair of Strawberry Dart frogs (also called Blue Jean Dart frogs because of their blue legs!) is verified a male, as we’ve heard calling from their tank. Specifically, they like to come out and yell at Daniel if he’s disturbing their sleep by moving too much stuff around in the living room.
He got the hint.
Carrot
Female StrawberryJust a guess for now, but maybe in the future these two will prove to be a breeding pair. These frogs are commonly stolen from the wild. Breeding and selling frogs isn’t currently something we’re aiming for, but if we can help put more captive bred frogs on the market to have more competition for wild caught frogs, why not do our best to help?
1 Million Isopods
And also...At 22 different colonies, these little buggies are so cool. Magic Potions (pictured here) are the main staple, since there is a giant terrarium full of them. It takes over an hour to care for them, but it is worth it to see these little guys thriving.
